Sangfor HCI: How to install aCloud (HCI) Firmware on Server using USB Boot.


HCI is Sangfor’s virtualization technology, providing super convergence infrastructure, integrating computing, storage, networking, and security resources into a single system.

If the traditional Data Center model consists of 3 main components: Server to run the application, Storage to store data and network infrastructure to connect components together. Then HCI combines everything together, encapsulated 1 package – a single device, full of components: Computer + Storage + Networking.

How to install

Step 1: Sangfor aCloud(HCI) latest firmware

Download at:

Select the aCloud(HCI) ISO image to download and create usb boot to install.

Step 2: Insert the USB drive into a server, and set the USB drive as the first boot device priority in BIOS settings.

Step 3: Choose “Install Sangfor HCI on this machine”.

Next, choose “Sangfor HCI Installer“.

Next, choose “I agree”.

Step 4: Select a disk (Sangfor aCloud will be installed here)

Noted: Capacity of the selected disk must be greater than 60GB. If it is greater than 2TB, it is better to use UEFI mode for installation.

Step 5: After the disk is selected, you will be prompted to format the disk. Enter “format” to confirm formatting disk, and select OK to continue installation.

Step 6: After you select OK, the Disk Speed Tester page will appear. To test disk speed, select Yes. To skip this step, select No.

Step 7: After installing the Sangfor HCI software, you will be prompted to select an Ethernet interface and configure IP address for that interface.

Completed ETH0 network configuration.

Installation completed with User and Pass default is admin.

Step 8: Remove bootable USB before reboot.

Successfully bootup Sangfor aCloud(HCI).

Step 9: Enter (Ex: on the web browser. Enter User and Pass admin.

Login suceess.
