Sophos Mobile v9.6: How to enroll iOS mobile device to Sophos Mobile.

Overview

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints. The only UEM solution that integrates natively with a leading next-gen endpoint security platform, Sophos Mobile manages and secures iOS, Android, Chrome OS, Windows 10 and macOS devices.

The article will show you how to add an employee’s iOS mobile to Sophos Central to manage and apply company policies.

Instructions

Step 1: Log in to Sophos Central. In the My Products section select Mobile.

Go to Manage > Devices > Add > Add device manually.

Select Platfrom installation is: iOS & IPadOS. Click OK.

In the Edit device section: You only need to provide 3 information

Name: The name you want to give the device, should have a user name for easy identification.

Owner: Select Corporate (Device provided by the business to employees), Personal (Devices owned by employees)

Email address: Enter the email of the employee using that device.

Finally click Save.

After click Save, in the Action section, select Enroll.

Choose Yes.

Step 2: Install Sophos Mobile Control

On the employee’s computer and iphone, opening the email provided above will receive email of Sophos. You follow the steps to install Sophos Mobile Control as instructed in the email.

In Option 1 click Install app. Select to browse the application is Safari, click to download Sophos Mobile Control.

To Corporate Management step, you have 2 options:

Select Scan QR code: You will scan the QR code in the Email to enroll the device to the sophos mobile.

Select Enter Manually: You enter the information of Token in the email. Click Connect.

A new notification appears, click OK. You will be redirected to a website that automatically downloads the Sophos Mobile Control Profile.

You must go to the Settings app to install the configuration profile you’ve downloaded. If you don’t install the profile within 8 minutes, it will be deleted and you must start over.

Open the Settings app from the Home screen and select Profile Downloaded. Select Sophos Mobile and click Install.

The owner of the device will be asked to enter their passcode.
Press Enter to continue. Click Install.

The profile has now been installed.
Click Done.

Sophos Mobile will now download applicable policies and settings from Sophos Central. This can take a few minutes as the Sophos Mobile Control app will also need to evaluate the device to ensure it is compliant.

The device is now compliant.
