In addition to focusing on data safety protection on mobile phone devices such as Android, iOS, Ipad. Sophos Mobile also extends protection on Windows laptops. To enroll a Windows computer device with Sophos Mobile, you must configure the device management agent on it.
The article will guide how to deploy enroll Windows with Sophos Mobile.
Step 1: Enroll Windows Computer.
Log in to Sophos Central. In the My Products section select Mobile.
In Manage > Device > Add > Add device wizard. You can also select Add device manually to deploy.
In Select an item select Skip user assignment. Click Next.
In Enter the device details. Fill in the following parameters:
Platform: select Windows.
Name: Enter the name you want
Email address: Enter 1 email of the device user.
Owner: select Personal or Corporate.
Select the enrollment type: choose Enroll Device.
Send email instructions: check the email is correct and select Send.
Step 2: Install Sophos Mobile.
You open the email provided above, you will receive an installation instruction email from Sophos Mobile.
Note: You need to perform the steps in the Automatic Configuration section first, if the installation fails, you will follow the steps in the Manual Configuration section.
You scroll down and select download SophosMobile.ppkg
After downloading, proceed to run the file, a message will appear, select Yes, add it.
To check if the installation on your computer is successful, go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. If you see the line “Connected to Sophos Mobile MDM” the installation is successful.
On Sophos Central you check whether there is a newly deployed windows device name or not.
In the Status section: you check the lines Device Managed, Device is compliant, Device is encryted with a blue check that the deployment was successful.
