Sophos Mobile: How to Enroll Android Device with Task Bundle.

The article will show you how to enroll new Android device to Sophos Central with the previously created task bundle device policy to manage and apply company policies.


Step 1: Create Device Policy for Android Mobile.

Log in to Sophos Central. In the My Products section select Mobile.

Go to Configure > Policies > Android > Create > Device Policy (legacy feature).

Below are the policies created to apply to users.

Step 2: Create Task Bundle for Device Policy.

Go to Configure > Task Bundle > Android > Select Create task bundle.

The Task Bundle is created with the name “Task Bundle Device Policy” with the Assgin policy as “Device Policy v2” created in step 1.

Step 3: Enroll Device with Task Bundle

Go to Manage > Devices > Add > Add Device wizard.

Select Skip user assignment. Click Next.

Select and enter the following parameters:

Platform: Android

Name: Set a name with user device

Email address: Enter the user’s email address.

Click Next.

In Add device select Enroll Device with task bundle

Below select “Task Bundle Device Policy” as configured in step 2. Click Next.

You click Send to send installation instructions to users via email.

After the user has finished installing. It will display the message “Device enrollment successful“.

On the Android Mobile of user in the Sophos Mobile Control application the policies have been applied.
