Acronis Cyber Cloud (formerly Acronis Data Cloud) is a platform that enables service providers to deliver cyber protection in an easy, efficient and secure way. With one solution, you and your customers gain access to hybrid cloud backup, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, file sync and share, and blockchain-based file notarization and e-signature services, all managed from a single console.
In this article, I will guide you how to configure a data backup plan for devices with Antivirus and ULR Filtering features to protect data and devices with Acronis Protection Agent installed.
Step 1: Create a Protection Plan.
On the dashboard interface of Acronis Cyber Cloud > Device > All Device. Click on the device you need to back up your data.
Example: Select device SRV1_VCF. Click on Protect.
In Create Plan > Click on Protection.
Rename Protection plan.
Example: Backup SRV1.
In What to backup: You choose the type of backup you need to perform.
Example: Choose backup by File/Folder.
In Items to backup: You will select the File/Folder you want to backup.
Click Specify > Select files and folders.
In Local Folder > Open C drive > select File/Folder you need to backup. Click Done.
Example: Select a folder name SRV1.
Click on Ok.
Next Where to backup: You need to choose the path to storage the backups of File/Folder.
Example: The backup file is saved in the Data folder on the device with ip 172.16.31.110.
To create paths to save backups file, click Add Location. You can create by Local Folder or Network Folder.
- Schedule: You need to schedule the time to be able to automatically backup.
- How long to keep: Specify how long old backups will be deleted to free up storage space.
Other features you can also configure or not.
Step 2: Configure Antivirus and URL Filtering feature
Under the Backup plan section, click to turn on “Antivirus & Antimalware Protection”. You can customize the features as you like or use by default.
URL Filtering: Acronis has created Categories you just need to click Deny for the categories you want to block.
You can also exclusion URLs or Processes that you trust but are blocked by Acronis.
Step 3: Run Protection Plan
After the configuration is complete, click Create to run the Protection Plan.
Click on Run Now.
To check the backup process, click on the clock icon on the left.
The backup process has been completed.
About Antivirus and URL Filtering feature, after a successful backup, Acronis will install the Antivirus and URL feature. Successful installation on the device will appear the “Real-time antivirus protection” feature.
Alerts about Antivirus and URL Filtering will appear as shown below if detected.
